The 100.5- kilowatt-hour high-voltage lithium-ion based battery of our all-electric powertrain serves one purpose: performance. The battery delivers an incredible initial peak of 550 kilowatts of power before sustaining a discharge of 500 kilowatts of power to the electric motors for a full quarter mile—and then repeats that level of performance for over 10 runs. HIGH-VOLTAGE BATTERY PACK

The prismatic structure of our wireless battery is more stable and has better thermal performance than a pouch battery cell. It also contains nickel cobalt aluminum, a high-energy-density chemistry mix chosen to maximize performance—just like filling up with premium fuel. This allows the battery to supply the front and rear electric drive motors with a high discharge rate—and a ruthless level of power.

FRONT AND REAR DRIVE MOTORS

Compact front and rear drive motors improve performance in specialized ways. The front module offers a wheel end disconnect that promotes overall efficiency and range, while the rear features a mechanical limited slip differential that increases traction and performance. Both contain silicon carbide semiconductor technology, which reduces power loss.

POWERSHOT PERFORMANCE

Experience the surge of all-out performance with our PowerShot feature. By pressing the dedicated button on the steering wheel, drivers can receive up to an additional 40 horsepower for up to 10 seconds, and can repeat that acceleration boost as needed.

ADJUSTABLE REGENERATIVE BRAKING

Get miles back with every drive as regenerative braking turns kinetic energy from slowing down into battery power. Now, drivers can use the paddle shifters on the Next-Gen Charger Daytona to switch between levels of regen braking—0.1g (lowest strength and stopping power), 0.2g (increased strength and stopping power) and 0.3g (maximum strength and abrupt stopping power).

LOW MAINTENANCE

An all-electric powertrain means that the Next-Gen Charger Daytona never requires an oil change, only requires EDM fluid once every 10 years or 150,000 miles and goes for up to 12,000 miles before needing the cabin air filter replaced. The driver can even set the vehicle’s charging schedule to stop when the battery is 80% full—the optimal level for a lithium-ion battery—in order to maintain battery health.
