ANDROID AUTO™

Talk to Google on Android Auto and get things done with your voice so you can keep your focus on driving. Easily send messages, get directions, control media and more. Just say, “Hey Google” or, in compatible cars, long press the voice control button on your steering wheel to get started.

HANDS-FREE CALLING

Hands-Free Calling allows you to make and receive calls or listen to and respond to text messages without taking your hands off the wheel or eyes off the road.

WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY

Forget about plugging in. Easily stream music wirelessly from your compatible media device or internet radio app with this feature.

DODGE BRAND APPLE CARPLAY® AND ANDROID AUTO FAQ

If your vehicle has a Uconnect® 5 system, Apple CarPlay® support or Android Auto integration is included. Select Uconnect 4 systems (those with a 7-inch, 8.4-inch or 12-inch touchscreen) also include Apple CarPlay support or Android Auto integration. Older Uconnect systems (model year 2016 and earlier) do not support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

If your Uconnect® system includes Apple CarPlay® support, you do not need to take any special steps to access CarPlay; simply connect your smartphone and your Uconnect system will do the rest.

If your Uconnect® system includes Android Auto integration and you are running version 10 of the Android OS, you do not need to take any special steps to access Android Auto; simply connect your smartphone and your Uconnect system will do the rest. If your smartphone is running the Android 9 OS or below, you will need to install the Android Auto app on your smartphone to connect to your Uconnect system.

If your vehicle has a Uconnect® 5 system, you can access Apple CarPlay® support or Android Auto integration wirelessly over Wi-Fi or by connecting your smartphone to your Uconnect system through the USB port. If your vehicle has a Uconnect 4 system that supports Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, you can access features by connecting your smartphone to the USB port.

All apps, such as Audible, Waze or Spotify that have been approved by Apple® or Android will work on your Uconnect® system with Apple CarPlay® support or Android Auto integration.

Yes, if you have a Uconnect® 5 system you can access Apple CarPlay® support or Android Auto integration wirelessly through Wireless Connectivity or Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, Uconnect 4 systems do not offer wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto integration.
