SUPERCHARGED 6.2L HIGH-OUTPUT HEMI® V8 ENGINE

The Supercharged High-Output HEMI® V8 engine, available on both the Challenger SRT® Hellcat Redeye and Challenger SRT Super Stock, delivers 707 pound-feet of torque. In the Redeye, it produces an impressive 797 horsepower, and in the Super Stock, it produces 807 horsepower, the highest of any production car, making it the epitome of muscle.

SUPERCHARGED 6.2L HEMI® V8 ENGINE

Enough power to drive anyone mad, the supercharged 6.2L HEMI® V8 engine comes standard on the Dodge Challenger SRT® Hellcat. With 717 horsepower and 656 pound-feet of torque, the competition doesn’t stand a chance.

392 HEMI® V8 ENGINE

The bold and brazen 392 HEMI® V8 engine delivers 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. Standard on the Challenger R/T Scat Pack.

5.7L HEMI® V8 ENGINE

Where efficiency meets performance, the 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine delivers up to 375 horsepower and includes fuel saver MDS technology to switch from eight cylinders to four when you want to save on fuel consumption. Standard on the Challenger R/T.

3.6L PENTASTAR® V6 ENGINE

The standard 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine combined with the standard TorqueFlite® eight-speed automatic transmission delivers an impressive 303 horsepower. Standard on SXT and GT with RWD and available with AWD.

SPORT BRAKE SYSTEM

The sport brake system features 12.6-inch front vented rotors and comes standard on the Challenger SXT.

PERFORMANCE BRAKE SYSTEM

Large front rotors and dual-piston front sliding calipers improve brake performance. Standard on GT RWD and R/T.

BREMBO FOUR-PISTON BRAKE SYSTEM

Four-piston Brembo calipers and 14.2-inch (front) and 13.8-inch (rear) vented/slotted rotors promise incredible braking power. Standard on the Challenger R/T Scat Pack and available on GT RWD and R/T as part of the available Performance Handling Group.

BREMBO SIX-PISTON BRAKE SYSTEM

15.4-inch (390mm) Brembo two-piece rotors with six-piston calipers come standard on the Challenger SRT® Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye with available Widebody and they are also included with the available Widebody Package and available Dynamics Package on the R/T Scat Pack.

PERFORMANCE FEATURES

SRT POWER CHILLER®

This feature diverts air-conditioning refrigerant from the interior cabin to the chiller unit. After being cooled by ambient air passing through a low-temperature radiator at the front of the vehicle, charged air coolant flows through the SRT Power Chiller® unit, where it's cooled even further. The chilled coolant then flows to the heat exchangers in the supercharger, lowering the temperature of the intake air even more. This feature significantly reduces air intake temperature to improve engine performance. It is standard on the Challenger SRT® Super Stock and SRT Hellcat Redeye.

LINE LOCK

Line lock engages the front brakes to hold the Challenger stationary but leaves the rear wheels free for a burnout to heat up and clean the rear tires to improve launch. This system can engage for up to 200 rear wheel revolutions for a controlled rolling burnout to get your tires race ready.

LAUNCH ASSIST

Launch assist resolves the issue of wheel hop, with wheel speed sensors watching for signs that the tires are slipping or sticking. If hop is detected, the engine control module reduces torque to maximize traction without having to lift the throttle, reducing loads in the driveline from wheel hop by up to 20 percent.

LAUNCH CONTROL

Launch control holds the engine at the optimal launch RPM and waits for you to release the brake, using engine torque management to optimize wheel slip for maximum straight-line acceleration.

RACE COOLDOWN

When the engine shuts down, Race Cooldown keeps the engine’s cooling fan and low-temperature coolant pump running to lower the supercharger air cooler temperature, which can be tracked on the SRT® Performance Pages to determine when the supercharger is at its optimum temperature for another run.

The Dodge Challenger 1320 is the fastest ¼-mile naturally aspirated muscle car.

DESIGN TOUCHES


Specialized vehicles should show off their flair, and the Angry Bee badging differentiates the 1320 from others, as an expression of its legendary drag-racing technology.

DRAG MODE

This unique vehicle setup adjusts transmission, traction, suspension and steering settings to optimize drag racing performance. The drag suspension maximizes weight transfer to the rear wheels for better traction at launch.

TRANSBRAKE

The TransBrake locks the output shaft of the TorqueFlite® eight-speed automatic transmission to hold the car stationary before launch, allowing the driver to increase engine RPM for higher torque and quicker response at launch.

DRAG RADIAL TIRES

For the hardcore drag racer, the 275/40R20 Nexen street-legal Drag radial tires on the Challenger 1320 are optimized for drag-racing performance.

SRT® DRIVE MODES

SRT® Drive Modes, standard on R/T Scat Pack and SRT models, allow the user to customize vehicle settings for a more personalized driving experience. Combined with Performance Pages, drivers get a detailed look of what's going on behind the scenes.

TRACK MODE

Track Mode activates configuration for typical track driving, including settings for transmission, traction, steering and suspension, as well as enabling the paddle shifters.

SPORT MODE

Sport Mode is set up for typical enthusiast driving, with traction, transmission, suspension and steering settings set to their "Sport" configuration. The paddle shifters are enabled.

CUSTOM MODE

Custom Mode allows the driver to select from the transmission to the traction, suspension to the steering and more, to customize the performance of your Dodge Challenger to your liking.

AUTO MODE

Auto Mode is for typical driving conditions where traction and transmission will be operating in normal street conditions (and cannot be changed while in this mode). The steering and suspension can be taken into “Street”, “Sport”, or “Track” modes, and the driver has the choice of turning on the paddle shifters or not.

ECO AND VALET MODE

Eco Mode modifies various settings to increase fuel economy. Valet Mode protects the vehicle from unauthorized modification by another individual, such as a valet driver.

ALL WHEELS, ANYTIME

FRONT AXLE DISCONNECT


The Dodge Challenger SXT and GT offer available all-wheel drive. The all-wheel-drive system will determine when AWD needs to activate based on driving conditions, mode and external temperature.

VEHICLE DYNAMIC CONTROL (VDC)


VDC technology uses available sensor inputs to redistribute the driveline torque to all four wheels. In Sport Mode, VDC works with less aggressive brake-based stability control settings, while retaining the mobility of all-wheel drive and the safety of dynamic stability control.

For those who prefer to take matters into their own hands, the TREMEC® six-speed manual transmission comes standard with all three V8 engines available on the Dodge Challenger.

TORQUEFLITE® EIGHT-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION


For those who enjoy the ease of an automatic transmission and the thrill of manual transmission, the eight-speed auto has manual capability with Autostick and available paddle shifters when you want more control over your driving.
