LIFT, PULL AND HAUL THE MOST OUT OF LIFE
A strong structure, impressive braking and confident stability contribute to an available 7,400-pound towing capability.
7,400 POUNDS STRONG
Equip your Durango with the available 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine and you can tow up to 7,400 pounds. The standard 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine provides a maximum towing capacity of up to 6,200 pounds.
50/50 WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION
The front engine and rear drive axle are made for a near 50/50 weight distribution (RWD models). When accelerating, weight shifts to the drive axle to increase downforce and helps improve traction.
Standard Trailer Sway Control applies brake pressure on alternating wheels and may adjust engine throttle to help eliminate sway and maintain vehicle and trailer system stability.
BELIEVE IN A HIGHER POWER
3.6L PENTASTAR® V6 ENGINE
Up To 295 Horsepower / 260 LB-FT of Torque
5.7L HEMI® V8 ENGINE
360 Horsepower / 390 LB-FT of Torque
AWARD-WINNING 3.6L PENTASTAR® V6 ENGINE
The standard 3.6L Pentastar® engine and the standard eight-speed automatic transmission can get you up to 26 highway mpg (RWD) or 25 highway mpg (AWD).
SMOOTHER TRANSITIONS OF POWER
The Dodge Durango comes standard with the electronic eight-speed automatic transmission, providing impressive efficiency, acceleration and shifting. The Rotary E-shift adds interior refinement, while standard steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters lend precise manual control of the transmission.
The 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine can tow up to 6,200 pounds. The available 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine produces 360 horsepower and delivers a maximum towing capacity of up to 7,400 pounds with up to 22 highway mpg.
WE DIDN’T CUT CORNERS — BUT YOU CAN
Robust steel, quick shock and spring rates and large sway bars improve driving dynamics. V6-equipped models get electro-hydraulic steering and V8-equipped models get hydraulic steering.
ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL
Electronic Stability Control (ESC) monitors your steering and vehicle motion to give you confidence on every curve. For extreme maneuvers, ESC compares your steering input with the vehicle’s actual movement. When it detects a difference, ESC applies the brakes and reduces the throttle to maintain directional control.
FOUR ON THE FLOOR
Dodge Durango offers two available all-wheel-drive systems—depending on your choice of engine. Each system enhances the vehicle’s traction and handling on a range of road conditions.
