During extreme steering maneuvers the Electronic Stability Control+ (ESC) helps maintain control. It senses when there's a difference between your intended path and the vehicle's actual path by comparing steering input with the vehicle's movement. It applies selective braking, and engine throttle control, to help guide the vehicle back onto your intended path.
Electronic Roll Mitigation, a part of Electronic Stability Control, monitors vehicle speed / steering and actively applies targeted braking and modifies engine power to help prevent unwanted wheel lift and reduce the possibility of a rollover.
Anticipating the need for additional traction, the available all-wheel drive system automatically responds to wheel slippage by transferring power to all wheels. This gives greater driving performance and increased safety and security. The system operates only on demand, avoiding unnecessary fuel consumption.
PARKING ASSISTANCE SYSTEM
The available ParkSense® Rear Park Assist System+ uses sensors that detect objects and determine relative distance when driving in reverse at low speeds. Readouts of the distance-to-object are displayed in the instrument cluster, notifying you of the proximity of the object. The system also alerts you by sounding an audible warning. ParkSense requires the Uconnect® 8.4 Multimedia Radio or the Uconnect Touch 8.4N Navigation Radio, and is available as part of the Driver Convenience Group or Safe and Sound Group.

- PARKVIEW® REAR BACK UP CAMERA

Providing extra help when parking, the ParkView® Rear Back Up Camera+ provides a wide-angle view of the area immediately behind your vehicle when moving in reverse. It displays the image on the Uconnect® screen. The display includes on-screen guide lines to help you when maneuvering into narrow parking spaces.
- TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING DISPLAY

This system constantly monitors the tires for proper inflation to extend the life of your tires and increase fuel efficiency+. The Tire Pressure Monitoring Display actually shows the amount of each tire's pressure in the Electronic Vehicle Information Center, always keeping you informed.
- EYES ON THE ROAD TECHNOLOGY

The steering wheel on Dodge Journey features integrated controls to help you stay focused on driving, keeping your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.
It includes controls for:
- Standard Speed control
- Audio (sound system)
- Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC)
- Available Uconnect® Voice Command – which allows you to control your Bluetooth®-compatible cell phone and the Media Center Radios, handsfree – using only your voice
