Dodge Journey offers two-high performing engines to fit every need: The 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine and the 2.4L I4 World Engine.

The 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine provides exceptional performance.

  • Special attention to the structure, intake and exhaust systems resulted in an extremely refined engine
  • Engine torque exceeds 90% of peak torque from 1,800 to 6,400 rpm for a smooth, responsive driving experience
  • It delivers a quiet ride and impressive fuel economy – 25 hwy mpg+ (on FWD models)
  • It can take you more than 500 highway miles on a single tank of gas+

The Journey 2.4L I4 World Engine provides peak power, torque and generous gas mileage – 19 city / 26 hwy mpg+ – with smooth idle and low-speed operation.

In addition, both Journey engines are equipped with dual variable valve timing, a unique find on a moderately priced vehicle.

The AutoStick six-speed automatic transmission is mated to the Pentastar V6.

  • It is equipped with a very low first gear, designed to make quick takeoffs from a stop
  • It uses variable line pressure to help increase gas mileage and enhance reliability
