Dodge Grand Caravan provides a very smooth, quiet ride with refined drive and handling dynamics and superior noise isolation.
ADVANCED SUSPENSION
The four-wheel independent suspension system features a MacPherson strut front suspension, which provides a smooth ride, responsive handling and superior noise isolation. Its twist-beam rear axle with coil springs helps contribute to improved stability and ride comfort.
The touring suspension is standard on Dodge Grand Caravan SE, SXT and Crew. The performance-tuned suspension, standard on Dodge Grand Caravan R/T, provides highly responsive driver control, especially when cornering.
DELIVERING STABILITY
Electronic Stability Control+ monitors steering input and vehicle motion. It senses when there's a difference between your intended path and the actual path of the vehicle. Electronic Stability Control then applies selective braking, and if necessary, may reduce engine power, to help guide your vehicle back on to your intended path.
All-speed traction control limits wheel spin during acceleration so that the drive wheels have maximum traction. It's particularly useful when starting off in wet or icy conditions. If the system detects wheel slip, it applies brake pressure to the slipping wheel(s) and may reduce engine power to help maintain traction and vehicle stability.

- DEPENDABLE BRAKE SYSTEMS

Having confidence in your brake system is critical to the entire driving experience. Dodge Grand Caravan has several advanced systems that help make sure every stop is secure and controlled.
High-performance brake linings provide superior fade resistance and outstanding pedal feel
A four-channel antilock braking system monitors the speed of each wheel individually, allowing individual wheel braking for superior control
Electronic Brake Force Distribution regulates braking pressure front-to-rear to optimize stopping distances and control under all vehicle-loading conditions
Brake Assist senses emergency braking and boosts the power as needed. Under certain conditions, brake assist may reduce overall stopping distance by eliminating the delay caused by not braking hard enough soon enough
Hydraulic Boost Compensation runs the ABS pump "full-time" if it senses a failure, which ensures the brakes will perform as normal until the failure is serviced
- LOAD-LEVELING AND HEIGHT-CONTROL SUSPENSION
The load-leveling / height-control suspension, available on Dodge Grand Caravan, adjusts the ride height, depending on the combined weight of the passengers and cargo it is carrying, for optimum handling and control.
- ROLL RESISTANCE TIRES

"Rolling resistance" is the amount of force it takes to push a tire down a road. The lower the rolling resistance on the tires, the more fuel efficient+ the vehicle can perform. Dodge Grand Caravan features 16-inch and 17-inch all-season tires that provide lower rolling resistance for better fuel efficiency, and all-season traction for excellent stopping and cornering performance.
