Standard Electronic Stability Control+ helps you maintain control during extreme steering maneuvers.
- The system senses when theres a difference between your intended path and the vehicles actual path, by comparing steering input with the vehicles movement
- It applies selective braking and engine throttle to help guide the vehicle back onto your intended path
Standard all-speed traction control uses the ABS sensors to determine when a wheel is beginning to slip.
If wheel spin is detected:
- Brake pressure is applied to the slipping wheel(s) to help them regain traction
- Engine power may also be reduced to maintain traction and vehicle stability
The standard Antilock Brake System provides added control while braking, especially under slippery conditions.
Brake Assist applies maximum braking power to help you in emergency braking situations.
- When brake pedal pressure is applied suddenly, a sensor interprets this as a panic stop
- It applies and maintains maximum braking pressure to help you stop in the shortest distance possible
ESC
ESC senses wheel slippage and responds automatically to help the driver gain control.esc_fwd/shared/2012/caliber/safety_security/accident_avoidance/primary/12_d_CAL_SAFSEC_ACCAVD_Low_PRIM.png/shared/2012/caliber/safety_security/accident_avoidance/primary/12_d_CAL_SAFSEC_ACCAVD_PRIM.flv
