- ADVANCED FOUR-WHEEL DISC BRAKE PERFORMANCE
Mopar wheel shown.Dodge Caliber has several advanced technologies within its brake systems that help make every stop sure, secure and controlled. Four-wheel disc brakes are standard on Caliber SXT and SXT Plus. Features include:
- A four-channel antilock brake system monitors the speed of each wheel, allowing individual wheel braking for superior control
- Electronic Brake Force Distribution regulates braking pressure front-to-rear to optimize stopping distances under all vehicle-load conditions
- Brake Assist senses emergency braking by detecting the rate of brake application and boosts the brake pressure as needed
- Hydraulic Boost Compensation runs the ABS pump full-time if it senses a failure, ensuring the brakes will perform as normal until the failure is serviced
- HILL START ASSIST

Hill Start Assist helps prevent vehicle rollback on a steep grade. The system maintains brake pressure as you move your foot from the brake to the accelerator.
Hill Start Assist is included on Caliber models equipped with the manual transaxle.
