STABILITY SYSTEMS

Electronic Stability Control+ helps you maintain control during extreme steering maneuvers. The system works with traction control and the antilock brake system to apply individual brakes or control the throttle as needed, to help keep you on course.

    FOUR-WHEEL INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION

    Dodge Avenger features a MacPherson strut front suspension tuned to provide an optimum balance of ride, handling and noise isolation.

    The multi-link rear suspension with an isolated crossmember, allows individual articulation of the rear wheels over varying road surfaces ensuring a smooth ride.

    BRAKE SYSTEM

    To enjoy your driving experience you must have confidence in your brake system. Dodge Avenger has several advanced brake features that help make every stop a sure one.

    • A four-channel antilock brake system monitors the speed of each wheel individually, allowing individual wheel braking for superior control
    • Brake Assist senses emergency braking and boosts the power as needed. Under certain conditions, brake assist may reduce overall stopping distance by eliminating the delay caused by not braking hard enough, soon enough
    • Hydraulic Boost Compensation runs the ABS pump "full-time" if it senses a failure helping ensure the brakes will perform as normal until the failure is serviced
