- Always drive carefully, consistent with conditions. Always wear your seat belt and obey traffic laws.

- High-tech load-leveling shocks

Durango features available premium load leveling rear shocks. These shocks mechanically pump up when the vehicle has added rear payload. When the payload is initially added the car will squat like standard suspension, but as the shock is stroked (during normal driving), the gas pressure will increase until the shock reaches the level design height (Included in the trailer tow package).
- Hill start assist
Hill Start Assist allows the driver time to transition from brake to throttle to achieve a smooth launch on a grade. The system will hold brake pressure for about 2 seconds upon the driver's release of the brake pedal. The system decreases wheel pressure in response to increasing throttle to provide a smooth launch.
- Independent by nature

Independent front and rear suspension on Dodge Durango provides precision and control. And rack-and-pinion electro-hydraulic power steering completes the package for precise steering with unyielding off-road performance.
- High-tech steering wheel

Durango has a new steering wheel and includes a lightweight magnesium steering wheel armature and uses lightweight magnesium castings in the steering column to add to a feeling of strength, quality and reliability.
