Our available second-generation Continuously Variable Transaxle uses a system of belts and pulleys instead of gears for smooth, efficient driving performance. The Continuously Variable Transaxle’s CVT2’s AutoStick® shifter allows manual control with the simulation of six stepped gears. A five-speed manual transaxle, standard on the 2.0L and 2.4L DOHC 16-valve dual Variable Valve Timing engines, provides closely spaced gear ratios which help to improve acceleration at low speeds.
