This is one serious piece of metal. Ram's hydroformed frame is fully boxed and made of advanced high-strength steel for improved structural performance and torsional rigidity, as well as reduced noise, vibration and harshness. Hydroformed construction reduces the amount of welding, which tends to cause distortion. Also, the serviceable front frame rail tips with patented crush initiators are designed to absorb frontal impacts.
