Maintenance
The 2008 Dodge Sprinter Van is designed for simple maintenance — easing the burden on your busy business.
Engine Maintenance
Sprinter’s common-rail direct injection (CRD) turbodiesel engine is extremely efficient. He standard 10,000-mile oil change interval (under normal driving conditions) means Sprinter is no only easy on lubricants, it’s easy on your wallet. The diesel fuel filter has a water separator and a water-in-fuel sensor that requires changing only every 10,000 miles. The diesel particulate filter must be checked every 90,000 miles, during service.
Brake Maintenance
Dodge Sprinter puts a stop to time-consuming brake maintenance. An electric brake pad wear indicator for all wheels promotes easy maintenance and enhances safety. The brake discs can be serviced without removing the wheel hub. And the drum parking brake is mounted separately from the service brake in the rear brake disc bowl. The drum parking brake is also reliable and requires low maintenance.

Easy Serviceability
To help the Dodge Sprinter driver quickly get ready for the road, main service inspection points are easily accessible. The filler necks for the windshield washer fluid, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid are well-positioned in the engine compartment for easy reach. Plus, with an enhanced range of displays and indicators in the instrument cluster — such as tire-pressure monitoring (2500 models only), engine oil level, etc. — fewer local checks need to be performed.
