Grip & Pull
When the off-roading or towing get really tough, you can lock both drive shafts simultaneously for extra grip or pulling power. A manual-shift transfer case comes standard on Ram trucks, or upgrade to the available electric shift.[1] Ram heavy-duty transfer cases offer operation in four modes—including 4WD, HI, and LO positions.

TRX4 Off-Road
Here's the truck as rugged as the individual driving it. Available in Regular and Quad Cab® models, Ram TRX4 off-road fits nicely into anyone's lifestyle. Further assets include anti-spin differential, unique shock absorbers, 17-inch off road tires, tow hooks, fog lamps—and much more. A standard 4.7-liter Flex-Fuel[2] V8 powers the Ram TRX4 off-road (on 1500 models; HEMI® power is available).
