5.7L HEMI® V8 w/MDS
Whether its work or play, when it comes to capability in a full-size truck, the dominant 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine gets the job done. With power that separates the men from the boys, this V8 churns out an impressive 345 horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque boosting your capability above the rest.
Along with its power story, this HEMI tells a good tale at the pump with its fuel-saving Multi-Displacement System.[1] Operating silently and seamlessly, MDS transforms the powerful and durable HEMI V8 into a gas-sipping 4-cylinder,[1] deactivating half of the cylinders during cruising and light acceleration, and increasing fuel economy by up to 20-percent.

4.7L V8 Engine
There's a new kid on the block. The revised—and very refined—4.7-Liter Flex-Fuel [2] Magnum V8. As fuel prices fluctuate, it becomes more important to look to other fuel sources in addition to conventional gasoline. To create the technology that enables the choice, Dodge turned to one of our most popular engines—the 4.7-liter V8—to harvest both efficiency and power—310 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. The Flex Fuel version runs on gasoline, E85[2] (15 percent gasoline, 85 percent ethanol) or any combination of the two, with no compromise in performance.

3.7L V6 Engine
When your circumstances simply don't require massive HEMI V8 power, the 3.7-liter Magnum V6—the standard engine for the Ram 4x2 family of longest-lasting, most durable trucks[3] — offers everything a light-duty driver could want. This reliable V6 provides notable efficiencies on fuel costs, while serving up a work-ready output of 215 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque.
