Cummins® Turbo Diesel Engine Duty Cycle
You’ve read about Cummins® Turbo Diesel power and efficiency, but there's another aspect to diesel technology that you may not realize. Diesel engines are generally more durable than spark ignition engines. Fewer moving parts are one factor — 30 percent fewer than other V8 engine designs — which, in turn, reduces the likelihood of a major failure. Maintenance intervals are also generally longer for diesels — nearly twice as long. This engine also comes with a 5-year / 100,000-mile limited warranty[1].

Integrated Exhaust Brake
The class-exclusive, factory-installed integrated exhaust brake — standard on 2008 Dodge Ram 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cab trucks equipped with the 6.7-liter Cummins® Turbo Diesel engine — provides better driving control, reduced brake fade, faster cab warm up, and longer brake life, which means fewer expenditures to replace parts. Also available for 3500 Chassis Cab trucks equipped with the 6.7-liter Cummins® Turbo Diesel engine.
