  • Drive System

Top-notch performance is the name of the game. Rear-wheel Drive ensures that Challenger corners like it's on rails and brings you better overall traction. And the Sure Grip Differential — at a 3.06 ratio — incorporates a Torque Response Unit and Two-Pinion Speed Sensing to help control slip between the rear wheels.

  • Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

During extreme steering maneuvers, the standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system[1] helps maintain control by sensing when the vehicle is starting to over- or understeer. The system automatically applies individual brakes or controls the throttle to help you stay safely on course. When you don't want the extra hand, ESC is specially tuned for performance handling so you can switch it off.

  • Braking

SRT braking creates a performance trifecta along with acceleration and speed. Low-drag, aluminum Brembo® calipers facilitate maximum pedal feel and responsiveness, while ducts in the front fascia help keep the system cooled. Paired with standard Brembo® 360x32 mm vented rotors in the front and 350x28 mm in the rear, your payoff is benchmark braking performance. We're talking 60 to 0 MPH in approximately 110 ft. See for yourself with EVIC, which digitally displays your 60-0 MPH braking time on the instrument panel.

In addition, the standard antilock braking system with brake assist helps you maintain steering control of the vehicle and helps provide shorter stopping distances in emergency braking situations.

  • Suspension

Get enthusiast-level, performance-tuned suspension that's track-ready to help orchestrate the ride of your life. Bottom line is, are you ready? Short and long arm suspension in the front and rear multilink independent suspension, along with increased shock damping, spring rates and steering responsiveness, deliver optimal handling without compromising ride comfort.

  • Tires

At the corner stoplight or on the track, tires that take charge of the pavement are crucial. Challenger SRT8 comes standard with fully forged aluminum wheels shod with standard high-performance Goodyear Eagle RS-A®/SRT four-season tires. You get a lighter and stronger tire with a beefy 245/45/20 in the front and 255/45/20 in the rear. Goodyear Eagle ® F1 three-season tires with asymmetrical tread are optional.
